Santiago Cathedral
The cathedral, located in the heart of the old town, is dedicated to the apostle St. James, official patron saint of the town since 1643. It was built at the end of the 14th century in Gothic style. To the north there is a Gothic-flowered cloister from the 16th century, which communicates with the exterior through the Puerta del Ángel (Angel's door). Here you can see a shell or scallop shell, which is usually carried by pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela. The tower and portico of the cathedral are the work of the architect Severino de Achúcarro, completed in 1887.

Church of San Antón
The layout of this church forms part of the coat of arms of the town of Bilbao together with the bridge of the same name that crosses the estuary. The church was built on the ruins of the old Alcázar of the city in the 15th century in Gothic style.
Due to the numerous natural disasters it has suffered, the church of San Antón has lost almost all of its movable heritage. Even so, it still conserves some interesting pieces such as the Plateresque altarpiece of piety.

Its structure, with its curved, minimalist lines, stands as a symbol of Bilbao's urban transformation, fusing modernity with the essence of the city.
