In Bilbao’s Old Town, where the city’s oldest history is preserved, the cuisine also tells stories. Ola Martín Berasategui is our restaurant: a Michelin-starred establishment with one star and one Repsol sun, where Basque haute cuisine is brought to life dish by dish, under the gastronomic direction of Martín Berasategui and with Raúl Cabrera at the helm as executive chef.
Martín, the Spanish chef with the most Michelin stars in the world, needs no introduction. His cuisine speaks for itself: ingredients treated with respect, technique in the service of flavour, and that creativity which can only come from listening to the market. At Ola, Basque tradition and the avant-garde do not compete; they converse.
The experience takes the form of tasting menus that showcase the most iconic dishes from the Berasategui world: the runny ham and truffle omelette, thin slices of cod with kokotxas and txangurro à la vizcaína, or the caramelised mille-feuille of smoked eel and foie gras. Dishes to be savoured slowly, just as one would read a good book.
The space, intimate and meticulously designed down to the last detail, provides a seamless backdrop. Because in Bilbao, the dining table is another way of understanding the land.

In order to guarantee your reservation, credit card details are required. You can cancel your booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the booked date and time. In case of late cancellation or no-show, a charge of 50% of the total amount of the experience will be applied.
We do not accept pets, except for assistance dogs.
A formal dress code is required. Gentlemen are not required to wear a blazer, but etiquette requires long trousers and closed shoes.
Yes, children are allowed at Ola Martín Berasategui, although it is recommended that you bear in mind that this is a long, slow-paced dining experience. Out of respect for the other diners and the service, it is important to assess whether the menu format is suitable for them before making a reservation.
At Ola Martín Berasategui all diners at the same table must choose from the same menu, in order to ensure consistency of service and the rhythm of the dining experience.
